In a final push to spread awareness of the #NoKosovoUnesco campaign, 28. Jun and the Serbian government have released a new viral video highlighting what hypocrisy it would be to accept Kosovo into UNESCO. We are also aiming to reach 200,000 signatures on our #NoKosovoUnesco petition, and we are 67,000 signatures short with only 3 days to go. Our members in capital cities around the world have begun visiting embassies and showing the video and petition to diplomats in an effort to educate them on the issue before the vote.
We will be giving away several prizes as an incentive for people to sign and share the petition. The top prize will be a trip to Paris, where the headquarters of UNESCO are located. Secondary prizes include; a signed DVD copy of the newly released The Weight of Chains 2 by our partner Boris Malagurski, a signed tennis racket by Ana Ivanovic, a 28. Jun baseball hat signed by Aleksandar Kolarov, and 2 tickets to the premier of ‘Enclave’, Serbia’s nomination for best foreign-language Oscar.
Lastly, 28. Jun will be selling exclusive limited edition ‘Kosovo je Srbija’ bracelets with all profits going to the Decani Monastery Relief Fund which provides basic necessities to Serbs living in enclaves in Kosovo. Additionally, our partner Boris Malagurski has pledged to donate a percentage of his DVD & Blu-ray sales to the #NoKosovoUnesco campaign. Anyone who contributes a donation over $300 will receive a 24″ x 36″ New Kosovka Canvas Painting as a gift.
The UNESCO vote is expected to take place on November 9th so please sign and share the petition NOW. To stay up to date on the #NoKosovoUnesco campaign please visit our official site as well as our partner sites:
